The author defines the framework for ethical decision-making in educator´s work. A frequent occurrence in developed societies is the paradox of freedom in decision-making. The examples of educator´s work on the other hand points out the differences between conviction and responsibility, between morals and skills, between general ethical postulates and concrete conduct. Such distinctions are necesary if we are to recognize ethical aspects of concrete problems, and to base our decision on moral and professional judgement. He finds a common denominator of ethical reflections in the ethical imperative of psychoanalysis: »Man, become what you are!«
