The article develops the thesis that education in the fluid modernity focuses on the importance of the learning process and identization. New educational forms are developing, one of them is tutoring. First part of the article deals with factors that influence the introduction of tutorship in different learning environments. The second part presents empirical research of peer tutorship at the university. It is emphasised that tutorship is a flexible form, which strongly relates to counselling, coaching and mentoring.
