The possibilities of the use of ICT (Information Communication Technology) in education have been influenced by several factors. The following article deals primarily with pedagogic-didactical influences, mainly with those from the early days of the development of didactic ideas. The article also touches upon the reforming attempts (attempted reforms) in the school domain, especially some of the most important results brought about in the course of programmed lessons as well as the trends which are an inherent part of the latter.
