Web learning system Moodle is nowadays as a virtual open source tool firmly established in education – both in the world and in Slovenia. The article presents the use of Moodle at the in-service teacher training, organised by Zavod RS za šolstvo (National Education Institute of Republic of Slovenia). The example of the teacher training module involved and enhanced the use of ICT at teaching and learning. The evaluation of the module clearly demonstrates the value of Moodle by developing teacher’s digital competence and it’s at the same time a good indicator for trends in ICT integration in education.
