Active Youth Participation – Opportunity for Quality Work of Boarding School Community

In this paper we discuss the activity of boarding school community as one of the central spaces and bodies of boarding school which enables the active youth participation and the development of active citizenship. We first introduce the theoretical foundations of youth participation, continue with the theoretical frames of boarding school community and finally introduce a concrete example of boarding school community’s work. We also report on the research, which aimed at improving the quality of boarding school community in the future. In the end we conclude with the set of findings, which could benefit the process of setting-up or rebuilding an existent boarding school community.
