Project: Renovation of a Classroom

Theory and Practice of Boarding Schools

 

The paper presents a project carried out by students of boarding school in the school year 2013/2014. It is a renovation of classroom, based on the active participation of young people from the idea to the final result, where there is always also present the risk – when we are not absolutely sure that we can come to the realization – as well as chance to take the situation as a challenge – as an opportunity to strengthen social ties, preparation of visual outcome or learning of practical skills. The paper at first present theoretical background of the selected project and a professional attitude of mentor and boarding school and continues with a description of the project itself and its consequences, effects.
