Povzetek

Prispevek se osredotoča na mladostnikov prosti čas, torej na čas po opravljenih obveznostih, ko mlad človek svobodno izbira vsebino in se odloča za aktivnosti po lastnih nagibih in presoji. V raziskavo sem vključila dijake 1. in 3. letnika Srednje medijske in grafične šole Ljubljana.

Abstract

The article focuses on how young people spend their leisure time, the free time after school and other compulsory activities, when, using their own best judgement and following their own desires, they freely choose the content and type of activities they engage in. The research was conducted among our school’s junior and senior year pupils; they answered questions like what they consider to be leisure time, how much free time they actually have in a day, and how they spend it. The results are as expected and confirm that most secondary school pupils consider leisure time to be the time spent away from school and obligations, when they are free of any intellectual or physical burdens and can choose their activities freely. Most of them have 2 to 4 hours a day of free time and they spend it in ways that bring them amusement, comfort, and relaxation. Few pupils choose to engage in informal educational activities that would offer personal growth and physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, working, moral, and social development.
