Abstract

In each institution, which deals with the education of children with disabilities, the appropriate coordination between educators and parents of children/adolescents is very important and necessary. The contribution presents the importance of cooperation with parents, the importance of establishing the initial relationship and maintaining it, principles, methods and forms of cooperation. Since there are children/adolescents in institutional treatment, I pointed to the frequent obstacles in cooperation with parents. I introduced the formal and informal forms of cooperation with parents in the residential treatment institution Planina. During informal forms I describe in more detail the project work with parents, which allows positive experience in relational attitude children/adolescent-parent-educator, because parents have the opportunity to spend the weekend in the institution together with their children/adolescent.
