Povzetek

V Vzgojnem zavodu Planina bivajo otroci in mladostniki z različnimi duševnimi motnjami, med katerimi so tudi depresivne in anksiozne. V prispevku poudarim pomembnost telesne aktivnosti kot enega od možnih načinov izboljšanja duševnega zdravja pri otrocih in mladostnikih, s katerimi delam vsak dan.Po pregledu različne literature, ki obravnava povezavo med telesno aktivnostjo in duševnim zdravjem, lahko potrdim, da telesna aktivnost brez dvoma pripomore k zagotavljanju kakovostnejšega delovanja človeka. Tega se v zavodu zavedamo, zato otrokom in mladostnikom nudimo pester izbor gibalnih dejavnosti.

Abstract

In the residential treatment institution Planina reside children and adolescents with different mental disorders, which include depression and anxiety disorders. In this article I would like to emphasize the importance of physical activity as a way of improving mental health, especially in children and adolescents, because I work with them every day. After reviewing different literature that deals with the link between physical activity and mental health, I can confirm that physical activity undoubtedly helps to ensure a higher quality of human function. In our institution we care about this and we offer to our children and adolescents different physical activities.
