Abstract

Slovenia has always had a lot of immigrants and today there is even more of them. As a country and a society, we are becoming more and more diverse and multicultural. However, the question emerges whether we are becoming a more open and accepting society towards them or we are still full of prejudice and obstacles. Today there is a discussion going on about inclusion as an ideal that we strive to realise (what is it, what benefits does it have, what does it bring). Regardless of that, we begin with the actualisation of the mandatory international instruments, adopted laws and consequently inclusion in a slow and wary way.  Nonetheless, the improvements can be perceived. This improvement includes the boarding school Postojna, which gives a home to unaccompanied minors and it helps them to integrate into society and the environment, as presented in this article.

Keywords: inclusion,integration, dormitory, unaccompanied minors.
